We are searching for an anchor, a moment of stillness where we can catch our breath and remember who we are beneath the layers of stress.

This is where the gentle, profound practice of Reiki comes in. It is not a fleeting distraction or a temporary fix. It is a returning, a coming home to yourself. Reiki offers a sacred pause, a space to reconnect with the calm, centered core that exists within you, no matter how turbulent the world outside may feel. It is a quiet sanctuary for the soul, and its relevance has never been more vital.

I remember moments when my chest tightened, breath grew shallow, and thoughts raced until my body whispered, “enough.” Perhaps you’ve felt it too, noticing a knot in your stomach, a racing heart, or a restless mind jumping from one worry to another. These are your body’s natural responses to stress, part of a system designed to keep you safe.

The challenge is that modern life often keeps this system in a constant state of high alert. The "threats" are no longer just physical dangers but a relentless stream of deadlines, social pressures, and global uncertainties. This chronic activation can lead to what we might call energetic static. Hi Julie, thank you so much for this thoughtful question. Distant Reiki works through intention and energy connection rather than physical proximity. During an online session, you simply relax in a quiet space while I guide you into a calm, receptive state, then I channel healing energy to you the same way I would in person.
