![]() Have you ever felt an unexplainable connection to a particular animal? Perhaps one has appeared in your dreams, crossed your path at just the right moment, or seems to represent a piece of who you are. Did you have a favorite stuffed animal as a small child, one you just couldn’t go to sleep without? These connections can often be more than coincidence; they may be signs that a spirit animal has chosen to walk alongside you. In shamanic traditions, spirit animals are powerful allies in the spiritual and healing realms. They are believed to offer guidance, support, and protection as we move through life’s challenges. By connecting with them, we can gain profound insights into ourselves, tap into hidden strengths, and find healing and growth. Have you ever noticed how a walk in the woods clears your head or how sitting by the ocean makes you feel at peace?
As I write this, I’ve just returned from a week spent by the ocean. There’s something deeply profound about its constant rhythm—the ebb and flow, the vastness, and its effortless beauty. It felt as though my entire nervous system began to sync with the ocean. The tension I had carried down here with me slowly unraveled, replaced by a subtle, grounding calm. After 24 hours immersed in the natural beauty and the steady hum of the waves, I realized I was breathing differently—slower, deeper, more fully. It was as if my body had remembered something ancient, something primal. There’s a quiet intelligence in nature’s pace, and I felt myself surrendering to it, softening in ways I hadn’t even realized I needed. Nature holds an incredible power to heal us—not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually. For thousands of years, shamanic traditions have embraced this connection, understanding the natural world as a wellspring of wisdom, energy, and sustenance for the soul. Through shamanic teachings, we’re reminded that humans are not separate from nature; we are part of it. By reconnecting with the earth and its rhythms, we can restore balance, find clarity, and nurture our well-being. Let’s explore the healing power of nature and how you can bring shamanic-inspired practices into your life to awaken this connection. I have some incredible news to share—I’m officially a homeowner! This new chapter begins with 2.5 breathtaking acres in the picturesque town of Evergreen, Colorado. Evergreen was the first town I moved to when renting in Colorado after my marriage broke up. It’s held a warm place in my heart ever since. My new home feels like a sanctuary, nestled against majestic rock formations with sweeping views of a valley where I’ll watch the sunrise each morning. It’s more than just a house; it’s a space where I can deepen my roots in the Foothills, surrounded by the natural beauty I hold dear.
There’s room here for so much life and connection—for my children, grandchildren, my friends and their friends to gather and make memories for years to come. I can already envision the many celebrations and meaningful moments we’ll share together. Beyond that, I dream of opening this space to others, hosting workshops on the land and offering healing sessions that align with the serene energy of this place. This home doesn’t just feel like a foundation; it feels like possibility, and I’m so excited to watch it grow. Naturally, one of my first rituals in this new home will be a House Blessing. It is the perfect opportunity to share this meaningful practice with you so you can bring its beauty and intention into your own space as well. |
