 Life's rhythms often pull us in a multitude of directions, leaving little time to pause and reflect on the deeper currents beneath the surface. Yet, within each of us, there is a calling—a whisper from the spirit, inviting us to reconnect, to awaken. Shamanism, an ancient spiritual practice rooted in the belief that everything is interconnected, offers a guiding light to align with that inner voice and integrate sacred practices into daily life.
This journey is deeply personal, and I want to share how shamanic wisdom has helped me—and how it can help you—infuse everyday existence with spiritual depth, energy awareness, and a profound sense of balance. In January 2021, my life seemed to be unraveling—my marriage was ending, I had to find a new place to live, I was leaving behind friends, and I had to figure out how to support myself. Worst of all, I had to tell my children that their parents were separating. In the midst of all this chaos, I sat quietly with myself, trying to figure out who I truly was. I took a deep breath, grabbed my keyboard, and asked the question: “Who am I?”
What followed flowed effortlessly in less than 15 minutes. It turns out, I wasn’t as lost as I thought. I felt my guides and higher self there, gently steering me, helping me channel my truth. If you’ve never tried this exercise, I highly recommend it. Find a quiet space, breathe deeply, and invite all parts of yourself—your guides, ancestors, or any other beings of light—to speak through you. Then, simply start writing. You might be surprised by what comes through. |
